An 8.0 Megapixel CCD sensor captures in high resolution for large photo lab quality prints.
The 28mm (equivalent) wide-angle lens with 3.8x zoom enables the capture of large scenes from closer range. Canon's optical Image Stabilizer (IS) technology counteracts camera shake for blur-free shots at slower shutter speeds and full zoom.
In tandem with IS, user-selected Auto ISO Shift offers enhanced protection against camera shake. ISO 1600 and High ISO Auto protect against camera shake during longer exposures, as well as blur caused by typical subject movement.
Canon's DIGIC III processor provides lightning quick responses, superb image quality and advanced noise reduction for sharper, clearer images. Face Detection AF/AE/FE and iSAPS analyse the scene, detect subjects in the frame and select the optimum focus, exposure and flash settings.
When operating in playback mode, Face Detection Technology allows you to quickly and accurately correct red-eye without affecting the rest of the image.
