Microsoft to launch UK Xbox Video Store

Microsoft has announced that it will launch Xbox LIVE Marketplace Video Store in the UK on the 11th of December.

As Microsoft state in the press release, the "glitz and the glamour of Hollywood" is about to hit the Xbox 360 communities when the store opens.

With Microsoft's Xbox LIVE Marketplace Video Store you will have the choice to download most movies in either standard or high definition, Standard movies will be just 250 Microsoft Points, while HD movies will be priced at 380 Microsoft Points.

You’ll be able to download the movies like 300 and The Matrix trilogy from Marketplace direct to your Xbox 360. The line up of films to start with looks pretty thin with just over 25 movies available at launch, titles such as "Clash of the titans" and "Risky Business" maybe classics but most people will already have them in their DVD collection, so why pay to download them on to your Xbox?
